Book Launch & Meetup: Break Your Invisible Chains

Self Narrate is releasing our first book, Break Your Invisible Chains, and we want to celebrate it in a unique way, so we're hosting a book launch party combined with our monthly storytelling meetup!

What is that going to look like? The co-authors of Break Your Invisible Chains, Jaron Jones, Brandon Telg and Carly Barnes, will do a brief book reading, share some stories, and then we will open the floor and transition into a Self Narrate storytelling meetup!

This month's meetup theme is the name of the book: Break Your Invisible Chains.

WHERE: This special event is happening at Third House Books. Third House Books is a brand-new independent bookstore in downtown Gainesville. (You can find their address on their facebook page, but for context, its near The Top.) We are excited to be the first book launch at Third House!

If you've never been to a storytelling meetup, what happens is that we give people an opportunity to share their personal stories based around a theme! Each storyteller is given 5-7 minutes.

We will have copies of the book for sale for $10 and bundles of a book and a Self Narrate T-Shirt for $20. PLEASE BRING CASH. We can't accept credit cards.
You can also purchase a copy of the book here: http://www.amazon.com/Break-Your-Invisible-Chains-Power/dp/0997335408/

Book Synopsis: Have you ever wondered how trainers manage to keep circus elephants from stampeding out of a big top tent? It's quite the same way we often train ourselves to live within our limiting beliefs. Use this active journaling guide to break your invisible chains, and own your own story to become the most powerful and authentic version of yourself.

Monthly Storytelling Meetup: Cat Tales *Co-Sponsored By Operation Catnip*

Let's get together and tell true-life stories! (Meaning, these things actually happened to you!) Our March meetup is co-sponsored by Operation Catnip. The theme this month is: Cat Tales!

So, how does this work? Our storytellers are given 5-7 minutes to tell their story.

The first half of the evening will consist of stories that were submitted to us ahead of time after which time, we will open the floor to anyone to share their story!

If you want to share, please send a message to Self Narrate on Facebook or to info@selfnarrate.com with a brief outline of your story (2-3 sentences). The reason for this is that it is best to prepare your story ahead of time, practicing how the story can be told in 5 minutes. (The time goes fast!)
We need your story submissions by Monday, March14!
