Trauma-Informed Community Resource Fair

Trauma-Informed Community Resource Fair

JULY 13, 2019
1-4PM
HIPPODROME CINEMA

This event is produced in partnership with LCS Occupational Therapy.

Join us for an informative and community-building event where we will bring together a number of the trauma-informed resources in Gainesville. Whether you are looking for resources for yourself or a loved one, or you are looking to network in this space, this is the event for you.

We will learn about innovative approaches to community building using Trust-Based Relational Intervention approaches through the screening of the brand-new film All Rise. ALL RISE is a 75-minute documentary that takes you inside the courtroom of an unconventional East Texas judge who uses a trauma-informed, trust-based approach to healing broken families in the child welfare system. After the screening, a panel of experts will discuss how the film relates to the Gainesville community.

After the panel, a number of organizations that provide resources in Gainesville will be on-site in a Resource Fair.

THIS EVENT IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
FREE CHILDCARE IS PROVIDED ONSITE THROUGHOUT THE EVENT.

We anticipate this event filling to capacity; therefore, registration is required for film tickets and/or childcare.
UPDATE: Some folks have been kind enough to let us know that their plans have changed so we wanted to let you know we now have some seats available! Applying for a ticket on the waitlist form means you WILL get a spot for the film until you hear otherwise here! This is also still how you will register for childcare if you would like to attend the resource fair part of the event (which you are welcome to come to and does not require a ticket).
